Meet the team:
Kayla
Kayla designs spaces that feel personal, cozy, and genuinely easy to live in, because a home should work for the people in it. Known for solving real-life home challenges quickly, Kayla focuses on improving flow, creating smart organization, and helping clients see their spaces in an entirely new way.
With music always playing and playlists constantly in the works, the design process stays light, comfortable, and collaborative, focused on understanding what makes people them and translating that into spaces that feel right.
Alongside her partner, Kayla is growing RUMIIS to help homeowners and businesses find function, organization, and design that feels natural, intentional, and never forced. No one is ever told their style is wrong, it’s simply made to work better and feel better.
Outside of design, her time is spent on long walks or movie nights with her dog, Ruben, because every home deserves a cozy place to unwind, press play, and share with a loyal four-legged sidekick.
Pierce
Pierce studied interior design, but learned just as much by paying attention to people, walking the city, and noticing what actually makes a space feel good to live in.
Born in a small town and shaped by 20 years in Montreal, he doesn’t chase trends, he believes everyone already has a style, it just needs a little nurturing.
After owning a company in the furniture industry, Pierce gained a deep understanding of how spaces come together behind the scenes. From sourcing to project management, he now brings that experience to every RUMIIS project.
Inspired by everyday objects, fashion, and people-watching, Pierce is also known for an impressive green thumb, patience to a fault, public speaking experience and an ongoing crusade against ugly Kleenex boxes.
